Food for (Free) Thought is our founder, Nathan Meffert’s, love child. The blog has evolved over the course of four years into a hub for clear thinking about human reasoning, creativity and innovation, religion, spirituality, violence, and our relationship to the natural world.
Food for (Free) Thought has gone through several growth stages, but is growing up into a productive member of society. It’s at the center of a three-ring media circus that includes social media microblogging, essays on a biweekly basis published to the blog, and a forthcoming podcast.
Over the past year, Nathan has released several guides to intellectual topics such as writing well and political topics such as the liberal Muslim reformers who are taking a stand against extremism. Nathan also spends a decent amount of time fighting the good fight on Twitter and Facebook. Followers can can find excerpts of his poetry on Instagram.
Just in the past few months, Nathan launched a newsletter to increase one-on-one engagement with followers. Next steps include expanding on articles and thinking in feature articles for national publication.
